## Manifesto

- We are a collaborative partnership, based around our open source digital platform for high quality image and multimedia collections.
- Our vision is to be an internationally recognised hub for image collections and a catalyst for new and emerging digitally-enabled research.
- Our platform brings communities together to share unique and distinctive collections, both our own and those of partners, to share the visual outputs of research, and to facilitate new and distinctive research with our collections.
- Through our commitment to innovation, sharing and collaboration, we are building a unique platform and community with a diversity of active and empowered members.

## Our guiding principles

- Open and interoperable with no barriers to re-use and sharing of code and collections
- A genuine commitment to being an inclusive, sustainable and diverse community, where we value our differences, encourage contributions from all and respect differences in scale and pace
- A collaborative partnership committed to sharing ideas and workload, but with a sensitivity to our local conditions, priorities and capacities
- Research-informed and responsive, focussed on our audiences’ teaching, research and engagement needs
- Active and informed partners in the research process
- A fun and fulfilling community who are passionate about our collections
- Encouraging creativity, innovation and continuous improvement, with an appetite to take risks and experiment ​with emerging formats and technologies
- Celebrating our collections and curation excellence, we utilise our diverse skills, knowledge and connections to create compelling stories to support and stimulate research, teaching and engagement
